Fall 2026

The upcoming fall foliage season across New England is shaping up to be spectacular, with experts predicting a long, vibrant, and gradual display of color. After a couple of disappointing years due to drought and disease, healthy canopies are expected to produce brilliant reds, oranges, and yellows starting in late September and continuing into early November.

Unlike recent years where the colors came and went in a flash, the 2026 season is forecasted to be wonderfully gradual. A classic winter and ample spring rainfall have left the trees healthy and full, which should result in a bright and long-lasting palette.

I'm really looking forward to getting out and photographing the foliage across New England this year. With the trees looking so healthy, it feels like the perfect season to capture some incredible shots of the reds, oranges, and yellows.
